Jadwal project launched at Oman MOD

August 27, 2012

SAN DIEGO, August 27, 2012 – Miro Technologies, the market leader for maintenance and logistics management of complex military assets, announced today that a project “kickoff” meeting was held on June 20 in Muscat to officially launch the Jadwal project for the Oman Ministry of Defence (MOD). The meeting was attended by representatives from all MOD agencies including the Royal Air Force Oman, Royal Army Oman, and Ministry of Defense Engineering Services (MODES). Senior executives participating from Miro Technologies included Vincent Monteparte, President & CEO, and Greg Jasenovec, Sr. Vice President & CFO. The meeting was also attended by core team members from Miro and the MOD Jadwal project office.

A representative from the MOD Jadwal Project Office gave a briefing on the history of the project leading up to the day’s event. Jim Gardner, the manager of Miro’s Muscat Office, presented an outline of Miro’s six-stage project plan. Subsequent to the project plan presentation, a question and answer period was conducted, followed by Project Board approval to proceed with Jadwal.

Miro Technologies previously announced a contract award from the Sultanate of Oman Ministry of Defence (MOD) to implement an integrated Joint Logistics Management Solution (JLMS) to manage supply, maintenance and transport business functions across Oman MOD Services. The new tri-service logistics programme, named Jadwal, features GOLDesp as the central logistics application. Miro has now established a program office in Muscat to support the project, adding to its presence in the Middle East region. Miro Technologies is prime contractor for all implementation services, including an extensive training programme, testing, data conversion and go-live support. Miro will be working as an integrated team with the office of the Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) and Ernst & Young to deliver the JLMS solution.
