CAF GS – Combat Air Force Global Strike – Mission Planning System
Tapestry’s CAF GS program delivers enterprise-wide visibility and control over global operations by seamlessly integrating data from supply chains, mission planning, and asset management. It enhances combat readiness and force-level coordination by enabling real-time tracking and management of personnel, equipment, and missions, empowering commanders to make well-informed decisions in complex environments. Leveraging Tapestry’s expertise in mission planning systems, logistics technology, and training support, CAF GS significantly improves the Air Force’s capability to execute worldwide operations with greater efficiency, accuracy, and interoperability among joint and coalition partners.
Advanced mission planning involves sophisticated analysis and the use of cutting-edge technologies to develop effective strategies for achieving complex objectives. This process encompasses thorough planning, resource allocation, and contingency development to ensure mission success. Our advanced planning solutions incorporate AI, machine learning, and real-time data analytics to predict and respond to evolving operational conditions. These innovations are set to revolutionize Department of Defense mission planning over the next 30 years, enhancing both strategic foresight and tactical execution.
Development efforts will focus on creating platform-agnostic capabilities. Initial efforts will prioritize fighter aircraft such as the F-15, F-22, F-18, and future 6th generation platforms. The objective is to develop capabilities that can be continuously and seamlessly expanded to additional platforms over time.
GMSM – Global Mobility & Special Mission – Mission Planning System
Global Mobility Special Mission (GM SM) program supports the requirements, development and verification of the Mobility Air Force (MAF) Mission Planning System (MPS). The program covers all aspects of Agile Software development and sustainment, Systems Engineering Services and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery services for JMPS, JOMS and other next generation modernization solutions. The scope of work includes support for full spectrum mission planning (pre-mission, in-flight, post-flight, mobile) across many DoD Aircraft platforms including but not limited to KC-46 Tanker, KC-135, HC-130J, C-17 and C-130H. The software developed and sustained is critical for ensuring the US Navy, US Army, US Search and Rescue and our Foreign Militaries customers can quickly and efficiently plan, launch and execute missions against adversaries.
WPS – Weapon Planning System
Weapon Planning Software (WPS) is an umbrella term that covers a collection of software components for the Windows-based Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS). WPS components include the Precision Guided Munitions Planning Software (PGMPS) Common Component (CC) which provides mission planning functionality for USAF, USN and FMS weapons. WPS includes the JMPS Target Manager (JTM) CC which provides a target database with import/export capability and provides target data to PGMPS. PGMPS interfaces with the aircraft planning software on JMPS to provide the weapon planning data. WPS also includes the Weapon Data Link (WDL) CC which provides access to data required to initialize radios for Network Enabled Weapon (NEW) weapons.
MQ-28
Uncrewed Collaborative Combat Aircraft manufactured by Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) and designed to team with existing crewed aircraft to provide operational relevance, persistence and survivability in highly contested environments. Tapestry is developing the Mission Planning Unique Planning Component (UPC) based on US DoD Mission Planning frameworks. The UPC provides support for multi-air vehicle flight and Mission Planning with an evolving list of advanced capabilities.
