- Work will be performed by Tapestry Solutions and partner UNCOMN, a veteran-owned firm with expertise in defense logistics and systems integration, located in St. Louis.
- Securing this contract establishes the subsidiary as a valued partner in defense logistics.
The big picture: ICODES plays a critical role in the U.S. Department of Defense’s logistics operations by automating load planning and tracking cargo movements across various transportation modes.
- The software application enhances efficiency for unit move activities by supporting end-to-end planning, tracking, and forecasting of cargo stowage for aircraft and ships.
- By seamlessly interfacing with multiple transportation and defense information systems, ICODES ensures efficient data exchange across the defense transportation network.
What they’re saying: “With ICODES, we have not only enhanced the warfighters’ capabilities in managing global cargo and passenger movements, but also provided a robust solution for unit deployment and redeployment operations,” said Debbie Churchill, President of Tapestry Solutions.
Go deeper: ICODES was initially created in 1993 in collaboration with California Polytechnic State University. Tapestry Solutions brings over 30 years of experience in supporting the development of ICODES and enhancing critical capabilities for warfighters. The program team is based in San Luis Obispo, California.
