PANORAMA® provides status boards, messaging & chat, plans & checklists, alerts & incidents, resource management, sheltering, near real-time Global Positioning System (GPS) tracking support, and other capabilities on top of a rich 3D Geographic Information System (GIS) environment. You could probably find 5 applications to do what PANORAMA® does, but then you’d be using 5 applications to do what PANORAMA® does. Why make a difficult job even harder?
3D GIS With Collaboration
PANORAMA® includes a powerful 3D globe GIS capability. It even allows you to place 3D buildings and vehicles on it. It also has a GIS “White Board” ability that allows you to draw on the globe in a shared and collaborative manner with other users. Best of all, we provide you with a rich 3D GIS capability out of the box. No extra software to purchase.
Location-Based Services
PANORAMA® integrates with several providers of GPS tracking services for vehicle and asset tracking. Integration with a new provider’s data can usually be done with little effort. Sure, you usually get an application to view the tracked assets from the provider, but PANORAMA® is about making your job easier. Why use multiple applications when you can use one?
Actually Works in a Crisis
Unlike pure web-based systems that will not work when Internet connectivitiy is limited, or not there at all, PANORAMA® has both a web- and a disconnected-capable smart client. You simply cannot count on all users having good Internet connectivity in a crisis. To test the system you use today, simply disconnect the network cable and see if it still works. PANORAMA® will.
Unprecedented Simulation Integration
You have probably come to expect interoperability between an HLS simulation tool and your crisis management system to mean little more than being able to read a list of CAP or EDXL messages. Perhaps you’ll see a status board inject. PANORAMA®, when combined with TAPESTRY DEFENDER®, will display all simulated activities exactly as they would appear in a real crisis. This means you’ll see simulated vehicles moving on the map, shelters you can click on to pull up evacuee status, supply points, and more. You can even use its “total replay” capability to conduct your AAR.
Total Replay of an Incident
When you replay an event in PANORAMA®, all that you see will be as it was shown in PANORAMA at that point in time. There are no cryptic audit logs to look at. Figuring out how things looked in the past is as easy as figuring out how they look in the present. This is what we mean by “Total Replay”.
