THE WORLD AT YOUR FINGERTIPS
THE GATEWAY TO THE DEFENSE TRANSPORTATION
SYSTEM
|
Over 13,000 users worldwide rely on the SINGLE
MOBILITY SYSTEM (SMS) as their entry point into the
Defense Transportation System.
SMS captures information from many sea, air, and land systems
such as: GTN, JOPES, GDSS, CAMPS, WPS, AFRC, DTTS, IC3, and JALIS.
SMS then takes this information, filters it, and allows the user to
customize it. The operator locates information quickly, then uses
it to make decisions from unit to headquarters level.
|
 |
 |
SMS capitalizes on the strengths of Web technology to give users
what they need-any time, any place. SMS offers the big picture, but
when a user wants more detail, he can drill down to further refine
the search.
A primary SMS goal is to help warriors at all levels quickly
locate and respond to information. SMS also monitors changes to
user-selected requirements and missions. A user registers a concern
about a mission, requirements, sets of missions, or specific
movements. When changes occur, SMS notifies the user.
