Position Summary
Serves as the Senior Director for Live Programs for Tapestry Solutions, Inc. Currently these programs include BCS3, BCS3-NM, DASHTOP, GDMS, HNT, Panorama and any new program that moves from a Business Development opportunity to an operational Live Program in San Diego. Primary Job Functions
1) Plans, directs and oversees all operational and support needs of Live Programs. Works together with Program/Project Managers and technical development leaders to manage program schedules.2) Manages and monitors all costs associated with Live Programs through the CAM process.3) Directs and assists with the establishment of requirements, objectives, plans, and budgets. In addition, participates in proposal efforts and manages all operational, financial, and technical performance of the program.4) Manages Live Programs Architecture and Systems Engineering, as well as functional Combat Developments missions.5) Establishes and maintains good customer relations.6) Provides strong communication to all subordinates and promotes atmosphere of teamwork and communication.7) Mentors subordinate managers and other corporate team members.8) Assists senior corporate leadership with organizational design and structural issues. Drives changes as agreed by the corporate board across all facets of the business.9) Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree plus 15 years of relevant experience (additional experience may be substituted for degree on a 2-for-1 basis). Applicant must have experience in managing large programs or organizations, and experience in the contracting and budgeting areas. In addition, must have experience in developing and maturing staffs and leading, coaching and mentoring complex technical and or project management oriented organizations. MBA, or Masters in Contracting Management or other business disciple preferred. Logistical or Supply Chain management or command and control software management and project management preferred. History in military and/or working along side the military is a plus. Skills and Abilities
The position requires the ability to operate at the senior leader level. Must understand complex concepts, synthisize information from multiple sources and make rapid decisions. Must be able to work in an operational environment and bring in technical, program management and field support personnel to deliver timely software to worldwide customers. Must have the ability to multi-task and operate in a complex matrix managed organization. Must have a proven track record leading large programs, understand the budgeting, contracting (commercial and or government) and the software development process. Must have the ability to operate independently, an ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization and to communicate the corporate message and position outside the organization at the senior most levels. Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires the employee to sit for extended periods of time, often working at the computer viewing the screens and typing, communicating on the phone, can demand standing, and some lifting up to approximately 30 lbs. In addition this position requires travel which requires extensive airplane transportation throughout the U.S. and possibly on overseas trips as well.
