Tapestry Solutions became a wholly-owned, non-fully integrated subsidiary of The Boeing Company on November 5, 2008. Tapestry Solutions will operate within Boeing’s Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) business unit under its  Global Services & Support (GS&S) business inside their advanced arm -- Advanced Global Services & Support (AGSS).

On December 5, 2008, Boeing acquired The Federated Software Group, Inc. (FSG) and merged this company into Tapestry Solutions. While Tapestry Solutions primary customer is the US Army, the addition of FSG has expanded channel access into the US Marine Corps, US Air Force, the Joint Military community, the National Guard, and the Army Corp of Engineers.
