YORKTOWN, VA Aug. 4, 2009 The best of Tapestry
Solutions was on display recently at the U.S. Army Transportation
Corps Conference at the U.S. Army Transportation Center and School
in Fort Eustis, Va. This year's theme was "The Transportation NCO:
Backbone of the Corps."
Sticking to the theme, Tapestry's new technologies were front
and center for attendees at all levels of Army logistics leadership
including the senior hosting official, Brig. Gen. Brian Layer,
Commanding General of the U.S. Army Transportation Center and
School. Tapestry showcased three principal products: the Global
Distribution Management System- Next Generation (GDMS-NG), which is
a new application that provides In-Transit Visibility (ITV) to
commercial assets and is being tested supporting Military
Operations in Iraq and Afghanistan (Host Nation Trucking), the
Battle Command Sustainment Support System (BCS3), which serves as
the Army's tactical Logistics Command & Control (C2) tool, and
the Battle Command Sustainment Support System - Node Management
(BCS3-NM), which is a strategic level logistics C2 device used by
the Army, USTRANSCOM and the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). These
complementary products offer detailed views of worldwide Army
logistics never before available.

requirements for Host Nation Trucking were very impressed with
GDMS-NG when they observed that their requirements were actually in
