GSA Contract
Awarded
SAN DIEGO, CA jul. 31, 2001 Tapestry
Solutions Corporation announced today that it has been awarded a US
General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule Contract for Federal
Supply Service (FSS) information technology. The GSA Schedule
(Schedule # GS-35F-0510L), in place until July 25, 2006, enables
federal government operations to purchase Tapestry''s
information solutions and services, including COTS software in
support of the JDLM and Vision XXI applications, Tapestry
development licenses, hardware and technical man power services,
without requests for proposals. "We are excited about the
tremendous opportunity that GSA approval gives us to provide
further products and services to our growing number of Government
clients," said Mike Pouliot, Executive Vice President of Tapestry
Solutions Corporation.
As the business manager and purchasing agent for the U.S.
Government, the GSA has a due diligence process and selects and
pre-approves commercial vendors to provide services and supplies at
stated prices for given time-periods under scheduled contracts. The
GSA schedule process reduces the procurement time for government
facilities and reduces administrative issues associated with large
purchases. Orders are placed directly with the schedule contractor
and deliveries are made directly to the customer.
