Mr. DeFord has extensive experience in training, simulations, management and leadership. Prior to Tapestry Solutions, Sam served in the US Army retiring at the rank of Colonel. He held high-level command and technical support positions in aviation, logistics and airborne organizations worldwide. He directed European Operations at G-4, Headquarters Department of the Army, Pentagon and Logistics Operations for the Supreme Allied Commander Atlantic (NATO). Sam completed his military career as the Director of the Logistics, Exercises and Simulations Directorate of the National Simulations Center. He served in Germany, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Central America and the United States from small units to the topmost Army and Joint and Combined levels. Since his hire at Tapestry Solutions, Sam has progressively been promoted into key positions as senior director, vice president, chief operating officer, and president. Sam holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Richmond and a Masters Degree from Pacific Lutheran University. He is a graduate of the Army War College, the Army Command and General Staff College and the Armed Forces Staff College.
