Mr. Richtsmeier has extensive experience in logistics, force deployment, management and leadership.  Prior to joining Tapestry, Dave served as a Logistics Officer in the Marine Corps, retiring as a Colonel.  Chosen to command at every level and designated as a Joint Specialty Officer, Dave is results oriented and demonstrates a mastery of logistics professional skills from an extensive and varied career in the military.  He served in various operational units within the Marine Corps, as well as with two Joint Staffs.  During his second deployment in support of OIF, he served as the Base Commander at Al Taqqadum, Iraq, responsible for over 8,000 military and contract personnel supporting Marine Forces in Al Anbar Province.  In 2007, Dave joined Tapestry in the role of the Senior Director for Live Programs. In 2010, he was promoted to Vice President of Development responsible for the growth and expansion of principal Tapestry products/programs and the transitional live programs that routinely transition from the Business Development / Prototyping element to an operational Live Program. He holds a M.S. National Resource Strategy, Industrial College of the Armed Forces, Washington, D.C. and a B.A. Education, University of Northern Iowa, Cedar Falls, Iowa.
